Melting Heart


Benefits:
  • Opening through the front of the body
  • Increases shoulder mobility

​Cues:
  • Start in table top
  • Keep your toes tucked and your hips high
  • Bring your arms slightly past shoulder width
  • Inhale and walk your hands forward bringing your head down towards the mat
  • Stay up on your finger tips with the palms elevated and start to push your chest towards the ground stretching through the chest and shoulders

Common Errors:
  • Hips drop down towards the heels
  • The chest is not pressed down
Modifications:
  • If you need more intensity you can bring your arms and hands out wider
  • Untuck the toes

Cautions:
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Light headedness
Alternative Poses:
  • Child's pose
  • Cactus arms
